Rule of Law

The Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI) is dedicated to promoting the rule of law in Pakistan, recognizing it as fundamental to social harmony, investor protection, human rights, and democratic development. Through comprehensive research, vigilant monitoring, and proactive advocacy, CPDI addresses key areas such as:

  • Supremacy of the Constitution: Ensuring that all actions and policies align with the constitutional framework.

  • Police Reforms: Advocating for accountable and transparent policing practices.

  • Access to Justice: Facilitating equitable legal processes for all citizens.

  • Promotion of Merit and Non-Discriminatory Practices: Encouraging fairness in governance and public administration.

  • Public Engagement: Stimulating informed discussions on rule of law issues.

One notable initiative under this program is the "Civil Society and Police Reform in South Asia" project, which aims to enhance civil society's role in promoting human rights and accountability within policing structures.

Through these efforts, CPDI strives to establish a just and equitable society where the rule of law prevails.
