February 2025 - Appointed as Civil Society Observer to the Climate Investment Funds (CIF)

In February 2025, the Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI) was selected as one of the 20 civil society observers to the Climate Investment Funds (CIF), a significant global climate finance mechanism administered by the World Bank. This appointment acknowledges CPDI's commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in climate governance.

As a CIF observer, CPDI plays a pivotal role in:

• Contributing to the formulation of CIF policies and decisions at the global level.
• Influencing and monitoring national climate strategies.
