In accordance with the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010, our organization is committed to providing a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all employees, particularly women. We have established an Internal Committee to address complaints related to workplace harassment, ensuring transparency, confidentiality, and fairness throughout the process.
Purpose of the Committee
The Committee has been constituted under Section 3 of the Act and is responsible for:
- Receiving and inquiring into complaints of harassment.
- Ensuring that the inquiry is conducted in a confidential and timely manner.
- Recommending appropriate action based on the findings of the inquiry.
- Promoting awareness and understanding of workplace rights and responsibilities.
Definition of Harassment (as per the Act)
Under the Act, harassment includes:
"Any unwelcome sexual advance, request for sexual favors, or other verbal or written communication or physical conduct of a sexual nature or sexually demeaning attitudes, causing interference with work performance or creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment."
This also includes discriminatory behavior or abuse of authority based on gender.
