CPDI demands permanent posts of System Networks Administrators in District Governments

SIALKOT : Program Manager of Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI) Syed Kausar Abbas has demanded permanent posts of System Networks Administrators (SNAs) in all district governments of Punjab.

Taking to the newsmen here, he revealed that the posts of System Networks Administrators acts as a backbone to run the affairs of information technology at district level, however the government of Punjab has expired their contracts and stopped their salaries which shows that the Punjab government is not taking keen interest to ensure the information technology relevant affairs at district government level.

Kausar Abbas while mentioning the laptop schemes of Punjab and Federal government said that the government is spending billions of rupees to give laptops to youth for their political promotion but is not sincerely making investments in the institutional building of district governments and as well as information technology relevant steps for district governments.

He urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to take immediate action in this crucial issue and direct the relevant authorities to convert the contractual System Networks Administrators as permanent employees of district government so that the affairs of district governments should be smoothly run by System Networks Administrators..
